The young Gloria is brutally murdered in São Tomé, where she recently has moved with her husband. Is he the killer?
Gloria was born in Angola and had been working at the Swedish Embassy in Luanda.
The murder is shocking for the aid workers, and Sara from Sweden, who has worked earlier in Angola, wants her friend Louise to help her find the killer. Louise agrees that they should write about it in their magazine Women and Crime, but she herself would rather stay at her allotment garden in Stockholm. Sara must go to São Tomé on her own.
The author Birgitta Lagerstrom is a former journalist and has worked at the Ministry of Women´s Affairs in Angola. She was also a teacher of English for ex-guerilla soldiers at Danhiko School in Harare, Zimbabwe.
