Carlton Mellick III
Carlton Mellick III is a cult underground author of surreal avant-punk novels that number in the dozens. Some of them include Razor Wire Pubic Hair, Teeth and Tongue Landscape, The Eyeball Wizard's Toy Cunt, and Skinhead Girls. His short fiction has appeared in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 16, Random Acts of Weirdness, The Best of the Dream Zone, and Strangewood Tales. His work can be described as bizarre, dark, funny, disturbing, and erotic all at the same time.
Major influences include the films: Eraserhead, Tetsuo: The Iron Man, Conspirators of Pleasure, Fando & Lis, Institute Benjamenta, Tromeo and Juliet, The Evil Dead, and Cemetery Man. As well as the authors: Kathy Acker, Russell Edson, Vonnegut, Burroughs, and Dr. Suess.
